By: Roxie Graham-Marski Posted at: 10/22/2013 03:52 PM

(OELRICHS, S.D.)-The Oelrichs School District is hosting a Fall Festival for students and their parents in conjunction with parent/teacher conferences on Wednesday, October 23rd. The event will take place from 4:30 p.m.-7:30p.m. in the school gymnasium. School secretary Val Graf says parents and students need only to sign in at the door and come prepared to have some fun. Word has it there will be some yummy food, door prizes, and opportunities to socialize as well as a "Sweet Grass" suicide prevention program in the library.

Graf says there will be some other surprises as well and Walmart gift cards for tribal students from Johnson O’Malley. Members of the sophomore class will be there selling baked goods in an effort to raise money for next year’s prom. Graf said it’s possible that the evening may even offer homemade soup and child care while meeting with teachers. She encourages people with questions to call the school for more information at 605-535-2631.

The Oelrichs School District has 123 students this year.
