(Wyo.)- Cheney, Enzi say Obama indecisive on Syria
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - Liz Cheney and Sen. Mike Enzi both say President Barack Obama has been indecisive about Syria before and since the recent deadly gas attack there.
Cheney is campaigning to unseat Enzi next year, but the two candidates are finding common ground as the administration apparently moves toward military action.
Cheney says Obama wants to use the military to send a message. But she says that's a poor use of military power. She says the U.S. could have intervened in Syria two years ago, but now lacks good options.
Enzi says Obama is "dragging his feet" on Syria. Enzi says Obama should have had a response to chemical weapons ready to implement.
Obama said Friday the international community already should have acted forcefully to hold Syria accountable for using chemical weapons.
