(Neb.)-Thunderstorms Moving Through The Area Create Havoc
(SHERIDAN COUNTY)-The Sheridan County Sheriff’s office has received reports of pea-sized hail and larger as a thunderstorm moved through the area Friday evening. At this time, they had not received any reports of damage as a result of the storm, but those reports will likely trickle in. In addition to hail, the storm touted heavy rain and strong winds and was one of three major storm systems that rolled through the area, prompting thunderstorm warnings and watches for portions of Dawes and Sheridan County as well as Shannon County in South Dakota.
The sheriff’s office said visibility was low enough along Highway 20 at one point that a two-car accident occurred near the Dawes and Sheridan County line. Fortunately, the sheriff’s office said there were no injuries to report or ambulance needed for the vehicles’ occupants.
