(Neb.)-Crawford Council In Midst Of Budget Workshops
(Crawford)-The City of Crawford is currently in the process of budget discussions for their upcoming fiscal year. A City Council meeting was held Tuesday evening, and according to Mayor Terry Haugen, there were quite a few people in attendance.
One misunderstanding that has been circulating according to Haugen is that the city pool will be closed. He said that is not true. It is a suggestion as how to make budget cuts, but it is not a done deal, and there are also other suggestions on the table of how to make the City’s budget balance. Haugen said another idea had to deal with the City library. He stated that suggestions were also offered on how to keep the pool open if that would be an item that the City would have to cut from their budget.
The City will have two or three more budget workshops, and Haugen encourages Crawford residents to be a part of those meetings. He stresses that no decisions have been made or finalized on the current budget.
