(Neb.)-Spanky's Owner In Crawford Says The Restaurant Is Still Open For Business

By: Roxie Graham-Marski Posted at: 08/27/2013 12:02 PM

(CRAWFORD)-Crawford resident and owner of Spanky’s restaurant, Traci Summers-Smith, has contacted KCSR News to clarify that she is still the owner of Spanky’s. She also stated she is out of jail and her restaurant is still open for business.

A news release from the Dawes County Sheriff’s office last week reported that on Thursday, August 15th, deputies arrested 35-year-old Bow Dean Kelley of Crawford County, Ark., in Rapid City, S.D. He had also helped run the restaurant and since has been extradited back to Arkansas to face charges that include felony theft and failure to appear for sentencing.

The release also says deputies determined that 42-year-old Summers-Smith aided and assisted Kelley in avoiding arrest on the Arkansas felony warrant. Subsequently, Sheriff Karl Dailey says Summers-Smith was arrested on several charges, including aiding and abetting the flight of a felon.

Spanky’s restaurant is located in downtown Crawford on 2nd Street.
