(Neb.)- Chadron School Board Approves Teacher Contract; Roof Proposals
(Chadron)- The Chadron School Board met at their regularly scheduled meeting on Monday evening in central board room. Items on the agenda included discussing searches in schools and the school safety plan, both of those items have been set aside and will be brought back in August after committees handling both of those items can review them.
The board approved proposals from Fisher Roofing to complete work at the high school and middle school. Proposal costs were $19, 500 for the high school and $6, 500 for the middle school.
Chadron Superintendent Dr. Caroline Winchester informed the board that bids for restroom renovations are being taken until July 15th, and bids for the HVAC system will open on July 15th.
The board approved reaffirmation of several policies already in place, just needing reviewed, including the internet policy, parental involvement policy, anti-bullying policy, and student fees policy.
The board also approved a contract for Jamie Slingsby as a Physical Education teacher.
The board will next meet in a special meeting on Monday, July 22nd at 5:30 p.m.
