(Neb.)-Driver Escapes Injury In Accident Near Fort Rob
(Crawford)-A semi driver escaped injury in an accident west of Fort Robinson State Park on Monday morning. According to the Nebraska State Patrol, 55-year-old William Craven of Minnesota fell asleep at the wheel of his semi and went off the road five miles west of the Park on Highway 20. The accident occurred shortly before 6 am.
The semi was westbound, and when Craven fell asleep, the rig entered a ravine and rolled. Although the truck was considered a total loss, the Patrol said he was not injured. The load of beef and alcohol was also considered a total loss. It is not known if Craven was wearing restraints.
