(Neb.)-Phase Two With Leo A. Daly On Agenda For Chadron City Council Monday

(CHADRON)-The Chadron city council will convene Monday evening at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall council chambers, 234 Main Street. Items on the agenda include three resolutions regarding LB840 community development funding for the Chadron Girls Softball Association regarding a new restroom for Hampton Field, Chadron Centennial, Inc. regarding refurbishment of vintage Christmas decorations and electrical costs for wiring, and the Chadron Chamber of Commerce regarding the construction of three “Welcome to Chadron” signs to be placed on the south, west, and east entrances into town. Also on the agenda, a resolution to authorize Phase 2 of an agreement with the Leo A. Daly Company for engineering services for the storm water project for Main Street to First Street and an ordinance authorizing the sale of lots 1-10 of city-owned property on East Niobrara Avenue.
            The council will also hold a public hearing and discuss a resolution that will levy a special assessment for maintenance of the Business Improvement District for calendar year 2013 and will consider a council representative to serve on the swimming pool committee. The Chadron swimming pool admission fees and hours for 2013 will be discussed, and Boy Scout Troop 64 will be presented with a rewards check by ACE for their efforts in placing door hangers throughout the community to promote the Choice Gas program. There will also be a motion to discontinue the current education incentive benefit and to approve education assistance for city employees, recognition of the 2012 Tree City USA Designation and the Growth Award received from the Arbor Day Foundation, and proclamations for National Police Week, Peace Officers Memorial Day, and National Drinking Water Week.
