(Chadron)- After a week of postponements, Dawes County District Court was held Monday afternoon. Brandee Jackson was back in court on a count of possession of marijuana. Jackson pled guilty to possessing between more than one ounce and less than one pound of marijuana, after an investigation back in October of 2012.

The possession of marijuana of more than an ounce and less than one pound is a class 3 misdemeanor, with a possibility of a $500 fine and three months in prison.

Upon Judge Travis O’Gorman’s ruling, Jackson was sentenced to two days in jail, with Judge O’Gorman granting two days prior served, and also held down a $400 fine plus the price of prosecution fees.
