(Wyo.)-Enrollment At Schools Statewide On The Rise
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (ASSOCIATED PRESS) - The Wyoming Department of Education says enrollment across the state is on the rise.
The department released figures Thursday that show the state saw its enrollment increase by more than 1,500 students this school year - a number helped by the largest kindergarten class in state history.
The department says 8,131 students attended kindergarten this school year, which marks the fifth year in a row the state has set a record for enrollment. Wyoming has seen its enrollment increase by more than 7,000 students during the past seven years.
The largest increase in enrollment for this year was in Natrona County, which had an increase of nearly 700 students.
