(Neb.)-Chadron Police Looking For Information In Weekend Assault

By: Chris Fankhauser Posted at: 03/25/2013 09:54 AM

(Chadron)-A Chadron man was the victim of an alleged assault over the weekend and was taken to the hospital with injuries. According to Lt. Rick Hickstein with the Chadron Police Department, the rescue call came in shortly after 9:30 on Saturday evening at Regency Trailer Court. The name of the victim and reporting party are not being released at this time as the investigation continues. The victim was released from Chadron Community Hospital early on Sunday morning.

Hickstein said the victim did not remember much about the incident when first questioned after the alleged assault. There will be more follow-up to try and gain more information. As of this time, there are no suspects in the case and very few leads as the reporting party was not at the residence at the time of the alleged attack.

Although there are no reports of any evidence being collected at the scene, a baseball bat was reported missing from the home. Hickstein said the PD would appreciate any information anyone may have on the assault. People can call the Chadron PD non-emergency number at 432-0510, or Crimestoppers at 432-0519.
