(Neb.)-Cardinal Singers Sweet Singsation To Be Held Friday Night
(Chadron)-The Chadron High School Cardinal Singers show choir will once again be holding a fundraising performance this week at the CHS auditorium. Sweet Singsation will take place on Friday evening, beginning at 7 pm. Director Jon Marquez said the community has really showed a lot of support for the group when the event was held in the past.
Marquez said that in the past, there has been so much support that they raised $1,500 each night they held the event. He also said the kids in the group also put on a very quality performance.
There is a total of 28 members of Cardinal Singers, including a drummer. Those attending the event on Friday evening will not only be treated to fabulous desserts after the program, but varying musical selections will be presented to the audience as well.
Vocal jazz will begin the program which Marquez says is a stretch for the kids and it is tough, but they are doing a great job. Some of the talented singers in the program will present vocal solos, and Jenna Banzhaf will have a rock band performing one song. The final act of the evening will be the competition show, featuring many different styles of music.
Tickets for the performance are $5, which includes the performance and a dessert buffet after the show, and they are available at the door.
