(Neb.)-Chadron School Board Accepts Resignation And New Hire
(Chadron)- The Chadron School board met at their regularly scheduled meeting on Monday night.
In old business on the agenda, the board discussed and took action on the High School Pod Lighting Proposal. The board approved 4-0 Monday night an installation of pod lighting in the classrooms at CHS. It would include motion detected on/off sensors on the wall, as well as a wall mounted Emergency light.
In other business, the board approved a Fire Marshall Approved Fire Suppression System for the high school kitchen which is expected to be in place this summer.
The board also approved the hiring of a point six one FTE reading teacher at the middle school. The duties of the FTE reading teacher will also be combined with those of the middle school after school program director.
The board accepted the resignation of Barbara Blum as the 8th grade math teacher, and also approved a contract for Mark Willison as the new 6th grade math teacher.
The next school board meeting will be held on April 8th, at 5:30 p.m. in the Central Office Board Room.
