(Neb.)-Chadron School Board To Meet Monday Night
(CHADRON)-The Chadron school board will convene Monday evening at 5:30 p.m. for their regularly scheduled meeting. Unfinished business on the agenda is the high school pod lighting proposals and the alley right-of-way agreement with the City of Chadron. New business will include two second readings on policies regarding standing committees and order of business and three first readings on policies regarding the legal status of the school district, a general statement concerning the role of the board, and methods of operation concerning authority limits. The board will also discuss the high school kitchen range hood fire suppression system and take possible action on a teacher resignation and a teacher contract.
The board will receive the superintendent’s report by Dr. Caroline Winchester. She plans to give facilities and legislative updates and will also talk about saving district dollars, expense challenges, ESL Summer School goals, a preliminary budget, and the state of the schools report, among other things.
The meeting is open to the public, and the members of the public are given the opportunity to comment on agenda items at the meeting. Public comments for items not on the agenda can be shared once a quarter in January, April, July, and October. A full copy of this meeting’s agenda can be viewed in the school’s central office.
