(Neb.)-Chadron's Stars Of Tomorrow Contest Slated For April
(CHADRON)-The date for the annual Stars of Tomorrow contest, sponsored by the Chadron Kiwanis Club, has been set. It will be at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, April 7th, in the Chadron High School Auditorium.
There will be four divisions in the competition: Division I, which includes students in kindergarten through the third grade; Division II, which encompasses fourth through sixth grades; Division III, which highlights seventh through ninth grades; and Division IV, involves 10th through 12th grades.
The first place winner in Division IV will receive a $150 scholarship and the right to represent the Chadron Kiwanis Club at the regional contest on April 28th in Loveland, Colo. The first runner-up in the senior division at the local contest will receive a $75 scholarship. The top three place winners in each division will be awarded trophies.
There is no entry fee. The acts should last no more than about five minutes. Both soloists and groups may compete.
Entry forms are available by contacting Duane Gardener at West Second Appliance, 128 West Second Street, Chadron. Entries must be received by Monday, April 1st.
