(Neb.)-Continue Safe Winter Driving With S.T.O.P.
(Kearney, NE) –Drivers who have recently received a minor traffic citation now have less to worry about when it comes to their driving record and can prepare for safer driving this winter thanks to the Safety Training Option Program, or S.T.O.P. By participating in the S.T.O.P. program drivers may avoid court appearances, fines, maintain driver license points, and control their insurance rates.
S.T.O.P. is offered through the Nebraska Safety Center. The schedule for sessions varies from county to county and includes the following counties: Adams, Box Butte, Boyd, Buffalo, Furnas, Garfield, Gosper, Hall, Howard, Johnson, Nemaha, Otoe, Pawnee, Richardson, Sheridan, Sioux, and Webster.
The cities of Grand Island, and Chadron also participate.
The four-hour program is offered on nights and weekends with specific times and dates set by the participating government agencies. However, for more information and to register drivers may contact the Nebraska Safety Center (NSC) at 800-854-7867.
