(Neb.)-Northwest Nebraska Panhandle Braces For Winter Storm

By: Jeremy Anderson Posted at: 01/09/2013 03:11 PM

(Chadron)-The Northwest Nebraska Panhandle and surrounding areas are bracing for a bitter cold shot of winter this weekend. Winds chills of 15 to 25 below zero accompanied by 4 to 8 inches of snow are expected, as a front makes its way through the area beginning early Friday morning and continuing through Saturday afternoon.
The forecasted conditions have called for a Winter Storm Watch from the National Weather Service in Cheyenne. A Winter Storm Watch means that there is a potential for significant snow, sleet, or ice accumulations that may impact travel.
