(Neb.)-Dawes County Sheriff Warns Of Circulating E-mail Scams

(Chadron)- Dawes County Sheriff Karl Dailey has informed KCSR News of a possible e-mail scam going around. Sheriff Dailey said on Monday evening that he had received an e-mail claiming to be from the FBI.
The e-mail informed him that due to malicious activities on the computer in use that they were cutting off internet usage. The message then said to send $400 to the originators of the e-mail through a Pay Pal account.
Dailey said that anyone who receives this suspicious e-mail should read carefully, and then proceed to rid their computer of possible infections.
