(Neb.)- I-80 In Nebraska Reopens After Winter Storm
OMAHA, Neb. (AP) - Officials have reopened Interstate 80 in Nebraska in the wake of the blizzard that swept through the state.
Crews allowed traffic back onto the interstate Thursday afternoon, nearly a full day after it was closed because of dangerous road conditions. The interstate had been closed from Kearney to Lincoln.
The Nebraska Department of Roads continued to urge motorists to use extreme caution on the interstate from Omaha to Kearney. The department encouraged drivers to check the state's 511 Traveler information phone lines for weather and road condition updates.
