(Neb.)-Central/Eastern Nebraska, Iowa Urging Caution Ahead Of Snow Storm

By: Roxie Graham-Marski Posted at: 12/18/2012 09:44 AM
OMAHA, Neb. (AP) - Nebraska and Iowa officials are urging motorists to use caution as the two states brace for the season's first expected large winter storm.
The Nebraska Department of Roads' website offers links to the National Weather Service, which has issued a winter storm watch for much of south central and eastern Nebraska and portions of western Iowa on Wednesday into Thursday.
Weather forecasters say the region could see more than six inches of snow and high winds, which will greatly reduce visibility.
The Iowa Department of Transportation is warning that the storm could bring blizzard or near blizzard conditions and urges people to stay off the roads if weather conditions turn severe.
