(S.D.)-Man Arrested In Connection To Hill City Theft
(Hill City, SD)-In November 2012, the Pennington County Sheriff's Office investigated five burglaries in the Hill City area. Items taken from the burglaries included firearms, jewelry, and U.S. currency.
On December 13, 2012, at approximately 2:00 P.M., deputies with the Pennington County Sheriff’s Office, Unified Narcotics Enforcement Team, and Rapid City Pennington County Special Response Team conducted search warrants at two residences in Hill City.
A third residence was searched on North Ellsworth Road, in Box Elder. These residences were connected to information received on the burglaries. Multiple drug items were found in both residences in Hill City. Nothing was located in the house in Box Elder.
Levi Thompson of Hill City was arrested for Grand Theft/Receiving Stolen Property.
The Pennington County Sheriff’s Office is requesting anyone with information pertaining to these or other burglaries to contact Investigator Casey Kenrick at 394-6115.
This is an on-going investigation.
