(Neb.)-Chadron City Council To Hold Regular Meeting Monday
(CHADRON)-The Chadron city council will convene Monday evening at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall council chambers, 234 Main St. in Chadron. On the agenda, resolutions regarding the allocation of LB 840 funds for various projects around town including an accessibility ramp and new ADA door at the Chadron Arts Center, a drinking fountain, Curb-A-Yard, wood chips, and doggie deposit bag stations for the city parks, a new gazebo structure to be placed around the Greenwood Cemetery kiosk, and a new backstop at the Maurice Horse Legion Ballfield.
The council will decide whether to approve specifications for the purchase of two new city vehicles, a sports utility vehicle for the city manager and a ½ ton extended cab pickup truck for the public works department. Council members will also receive a report from the swimming pool committee as well as the third and final progress estimate from Buettner Construction for the water main replacement project for North Mears Street from Niobrara Avenue to Norfolk Avenue. Council members are also planning to discuss and possibly amend a portion of city law, changing requirements for the installation of city sidewalks.
