(S.D.)-Rapid City Restaurant Being Resurrected
RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) - A once-popular Rapid City restaurant is being resurrected by a 23-year-old woman and her father.
The Fireside Inn off of Rimrock Highway closed down in 2010. Ashley Ginsberg has leased the restaurant with plans to turn it back into a destination eatery focusing on giving customers a casual-yet-fine dining experience.
Ashley Ginsberg and her father, Hal, are dropping the "Inn" from the restaurant's name to shorten it to simply "The Fireside." But the restaurant will serve many of the former restaurant's staples, including its Wednesday prime rib special.
Ashley Ginsberg is a graduate of The French Pastry School in Chicago. Hal Ginsberg once owned a restaurant in Wyoming and sells barbecue to crowds at the Sturgis motorcycle rally.
