(Neb.)-Museum Of The Fur Trade To Have Holiday Open House
(Chadron)-The Museum of the Fur Trade, located 3 miles east of Chadron on Highway 20, is having a Holiday Open House, Sunday, December 2th from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. The event will feature local artists including Gail Davis, Judy Hawthorne, Alice Denton, Kit Watson, and Chris Meisel.
The Museum Shop is stocked with children’s books, cookbooks, books on history, art, gardening, and Indians. The shop also features jewelry by Lakota quillworkers, Myron Goode and Bernard Red Cloud; and bead artist Marcus Amerman. Handmade holiday cards by Deb Sauser and pottery ornaments created by Nancy Sharps are also featured in the shop. We have great stocking stuffers, sterling jewelry, hand puppets, puzzles, and pottery.
There is no admission fee; refreshments will be served. Visit us next Sunday and find unique gifts for family and friends.
