(Neb.)-CHS To Present One Act With Desserts
(Chadron)-Students at Chadron High School have been very busy this fall with many different activities, including sports and fine arts. As the girl’s volleyball team competes at the State Tournament, students at home prepare for their presentation of the one-act play.
The play, entitled “Crimes at the Old Brewery,” will be presented for the public on Friday evening, beginning at 7 pm in the Chadron High School auditorium. The play is centered around the villain, Jack O’Lantern, who leads a group of questionable characters in a tenement house called the Old Brewery. True to melodramatic form, Jack kidnaps the heroine, Irene Felton. Irene escapes Jack’s clutches with the help of a reporter, but Jack is ultimately destroyed, along with the Brewery.
The play was derived from actual locations and activities in New York City. The cost of admission is $5 per person, and a free dessert bar will be held after the performance.
The play is directed by Jill Paopao & Katy Dobry.
