(Neb.)-Officers Prepare For Shop With A Cop

By: Chris Fankhauser Posted at: 11/08/2012 10:25 AM

(Chadron)-The “Shop with a Cop” project in Chadron was established seven years ago, with all donations used to purchase food and gifts for less fortunate children within the community. The children have the opportunity to go shopping with a police officer, which is a fun and exciting, and sometimes interesting, experience for the children and the officers as well.

The Chadron Police Department would like to say “Thank You” to the generous citizens and businesses for their years of support with this project. Area children would say it has been a huge success! With that being said, it’s time to begin the 2012 holiday fund drive: “A Little Change Can Make a BIG One!”

Area businesses will have Culligan water bottles located near their registers where donations can be collected. Donations can also be brought or mailed to the Chadron Police Department located at 125 Main Street Chadron NE 69337. If anyone has questions, they are free to contact the Chadron Police Department at 432-0510 or School Resource Officer Aron Chrisman. May we all be blessed this holiday season.
