(Neb.)-Veteran's Day Is This Sunday, Help Is Needed Putting Up Flags
(DAWES COUNTY)-This Sunday is Veterans’ Day, and with it comes the opportunity to thank our country’s servicemen and women for their efforts to keep our nation free and our communities safe.
As in year past, American flags will be placed around the Dawes County Courthouse in honor of local veterans on Friday, November 9th. Quartermaster Ken Marlatt is requesting the community’s assistance in getting all the flags up and ready to fly in honor of the day and the people it celebrates. For those who have time and would like to help put up flags, the group plans to meet at the courthouse at 6:30 a.m. on Friday. They will also need help taking them back down around 3:30 p.m. that afternoon.
Make sure to take the opportunity this weekend to stop and reflect on the sacrifices our nation’s veterans have made on our behalf, and take the time to thank a veteran for their service.
