(Neb.)-High Flying Remote Control Airplane Fun In Kimball On Sunday
(KIMBALL)-There’ll be high flying fun in Kimball this weekend. The annual Kimball Kamakazee Klub Remote Control Airshow will take place on Sunday, September 30th at the KimballAirport’s Remote Control field. The field is three miles south and a one half mile west of Kimball’s only stoplight.
Event coordinator Rick Kirby stated the event will feature planes & pilots from Colorado, Nebraska, and Wyoming. All R/C pilots are invited to participate. He says there are no entry fees, no prizes, just a great day to fly. Planes will be in flight and on display for spectators to enjoy. He says the group is a small, not-for-profit, no dues airplane club whose members just enjoy flying. He says they host the annual airshow simply for the fun of it. The event is open to the public free of charge, and everyone is welcome. There will be limited on-site seating, so Kirby encourages spectators to bring a lawn chair and their enthusiasm. Pilots can check in 8:00 a.m., and planes will be in the air by 10:00 a.m.
