(Neb.)-Medicare Plan Review Help Available
(Chadron)-It is that time of year again. Those who have Medicare Prescription Drug Plans need to review them to ensure that it is the best plan for them. According to a press release from the Aging Office Of Western Nebraska, plans changeevery year and it is very important that people make sure their old plan won’t be costing them too much in 2013.
The Office encourages everyone to have their current plan reviewed even if they are low income or Medicaid. Lori Dannar with the Aging Office of Western Nebraska will be assisting again this year. This is a free service and should be taken advantage of. Open enrollment begins October 15 and ends December 7.
Dannar stresses that people must change plans between these two dates or they will be locked into their current plan for another year, but some exceptions do apply. Dannar will be helping until December 4, so people are encouraged to contact her prior to that date. If people wait too long to enroll, they will not have their Medicare card to get medicine the first of January.
Dannar will be doing enrollments in Harrison, Crawford, Chadron, Rushville and Hemingford, and people should call 308-487-3973 to set up an appointment. They will need their Medicare card and a current list of medications at the time of their appointment.
