(Neb.)-Several Arrested On Drug Charges In Kimball County
(Kimball)-The Nebraska State Patrol reported this week that several area people were arrested on various drug counts in the southern Panhandle of Nebraska. According to a press release from the NSP, on Wednesday of this week, investigators from the Western Intelligence Narcotics Group (WING) Drug Task Force, with assistance from the Kimball Police Department, Kimball County Sheriff’s Office and the Nebraska State Patrol arrested six individuals from the Kimball/Bushnell area on various drug charges.
Arrested without incident were: Joni Rice, 50, Bushnell- two counts of distribution of controlled substances (prescription medication) within 1000 feet of a playground, Luis Larez, 52, Kimball- distribution of a methamphetamine within 1000 feet of a playground, David Holland, 45, Kimball- two counts distribution of marijuana, Elvin Helms, 47, Kimball- two counts of distribution of marijuana within 1000 feet of a school, Travis McDonald, 36, Bushnell- distribution of marijuana and distribution of morphine, Cornello Rendon, 38, Gering- conspiracy to distribute controlled substances and theft by deception. Rendon was served with an arrested warrant at the Scotts Bluff County Jail where he is currently incarcerated on unrelated charges.
Arrest warrants have also be obtained for two other individuals who are not currently in Nebraska. Since February 2011, investigations involving the WING Drug Task Force have resulted in the arrest of more than 30 individuals in the Kimball area on various drug charges.
