(Neb.) - Rodeo provides "bucks" off

North Platte, Neb. – May 7, 2012 – Rodeo fans headed to North Platte for the annual Buffalo Bill Rodeo can get their tickets at a discount this month.

Till May 31, three specials will be offered to rodeo fans.

The Business Night Special is good for the June 13 night of rodeo. A purchase of ten or more tickets is $10/each. The Thursday, June 14 rodeo, which is the breast cancer fundraiser Tough Enough to Wear Pink night, offers a “buy 3 get one free” for general admission tickets. The third offer is a Fan Pass, where a fan has admission to all four nights of rodeo for the price of three nights ($39.)  The Fan Pass seating is for general admission only.

The committee offered the discount to help longtime fans as well as newcomers. “For the folks that come in groups or come every night, we’re trying to give them a price break so they can enjoy the rodeo,” said rodeo chairman Jack Morris.

New at this year’s event is a video screen that will bring fans closer to the action. “The replay part will show the spectacular rides or big buck offs or great runs,” Morris said. “The picture quality is unbelievable. It’s a professional production like you see at the National Finals Rodeo.” The screen, which is 12 feet tall by 18 feet wide, will stand on the east side of the arena, across from the grandstand. Two cameras will provide different angles for viewing.

The rodeo, part of the NebraskalandDays celebration, takes place June 13-16 and draws cowboy and cowgirl contestants from all over the nation and fans from the region, said Morris.

The ticket discounts are available online at www.nebraskalanddays.com or through the NLD office at 888-313-5606. The Thursday, June 14 ticket offer is good only through the NLD office.
