(Neb.) - Seminars set for employers on paying child support

LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - Nebraska State Treasurer Don Stenberg has set more than a dozen seminars across the state starting next month for employers making child support payments on behalf of their employees.
    
Among the topics to be covered will be the use of electronic payments. Stenberg says nearly 80 percent of child support payments from employers on behalf of their employees are sent electronically. His office would like to see that percent go even higher.
    
The seminars are designed for human resource and payroll managers, as well as business owners, accountants, controllers and bookkeepers.
    
The seminars will cover changes in laws and practices relating to the withholding of court-ordered child support payments.
    
The seminars are free, but require registration. Participants may register by calling 877-631-9973, ext. 3, or online at https://www.nebraskachildsupport.com/Employers/.
