(Neb.) - Neb. man charged with sexual assault of girl

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. (AP) - A 54-year-old western Nebraska man has been charged with sexually assaulting an 8-year-old girl, but the man told police the act was an accident.
    
Scotts Bluff County prosecutors charged Daniel Castillo with third-degree sexual assault of a child for the incident on Monday.
    
The girl told her mother that she awoke to Castillo doing a sexual act.
    
Castillo told police he was sleeping in the same bed as the girl and committed the act while dreaming.
    
Castillo's attorney, Jonas Longoria, did not immediately respond to a message Thursday.
    
Castillo is being held on $40,000 bond.
