NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (AP) - The Miss Nebraska pageant will celebrate its 75th year in June, when the 2012 Miss Nebraska is crowned in North Platte.

Organizers have some special events planned for the event's diamond celebration, including a concert before the first night of preliminary competition.

Organizers plan to bring in county singer Patrick Thomas from NBC's "The Voice" to sing and perform.

Astronaut Clayton Anderson is one of pageant's judges, and former Miss Nebraska and Miss America Teresa Scanlan will be a special guest.

Tickets for the pageant cost $15 for adults and $10 for children.
