OMAHA, Neb. (AP) - A Nebraska charity that helps injured veterans raised $1 million by auctioning off a special-edition Ford Mustang with a patriotic paint job.

The Wounded Warrior Family Support group says the 2011 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 that had been signed by veterans, family members and supports.

The car was actually sold once for $500,000 and then returned to be auctioned off a second time for $500,200.

Col. John Folsom says his Wounded Warrior group will use the auction proceeds to help military families.

In June, Folsom plans to start another nationwide tour in a 2012 Ford Mustang GT500 and visit 48 states. Folsom says he intends to meet with many people and thank them for supporting military families.
