(Wyo.) - Wyoming board awards millions in local grants
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - The state Loan and Investment Board has awarded more than $6 million in grants to five Wyoming communities.
The largest grant approved by the board Thursday was $2.5 million to the city of Cody to build a 23,725 square-foot warehouse. The warehouse will be attached to the existing Cody Laboratories.
The board also approved grants to help Bairoil, Cowley, Midwest and Boulder preserve former schools and government surplus facilities.
The state board consists of Gov. Matt Mead, Secretary of State Max Maxfield, Auditor Cynthia Cloud, Treasurer Joe Meyer and state Superintendent of Public Instruction Cindy Hill.
