Funeral services for Loretta Mary Vocu, age 82 of Pine Ridge, SD, will be Saturday, January 19, 2013, 10:00 AM, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pine Ridge, SD.
Officiating: Father Peter Klink, S.J. and Mr. Charles McGaa
Burial will be at the Vocu Family Cemetery, Kyle, SD
Loretta was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Vocu; son, William Vocu; daughter, Cathy; her parents, Jacob and Cora (Whitham) Whiting; and 15 Brothers and Sisters.
Immediate Survivors:
Children: Tom, Gayle, John, Ramona, Richard, Anthony, Lucy, and Monica Vocu all of Pine Ridge, SD; John Vocu of Watertown, SD; and Leona Jewett of El Paso, TX
Sisters: Mary Ann Cahill of Valentine, NE and Cora Mae Onate of Gibbon, NE
Grandchildren: 25
Great Grandchildren: 34
Great-Great Grandchildren: 8
Hundreds of children she raised and babysat.
