11/12/2012 - Betty Wittrock
Betty Jean Wittrock, formerly Houser, has entered into the presence of Jesus. She was a beloved mother, wife, sister, daughter, grandmother and friend. She cherished life and her loved ones more than herself and lived her life as a tremendous testimony to the saving and redeeming power of God through His Son, Jesus. Betty's life was a difficult one, fraught with severe trials and challenges. Yet, she always rose to every challenge with beauty and grace, never taking credit herself, but rather always pointing back to her source of courage and strength, her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Her life was a great example of an ordinary life lived with extraordinary grace and dignity.
Betty worked for many years as a bookkeeper, auto title clerk, and office manager while raising her four children: Pastor Michael Wittrock, Candice (Wittrock) Lane, Mark Wittrock and Monte Wittrock. Betty was born in Alexandria, NE, on August 8, 1925, and entered Heaven on November 7, 2012, at the age of 87 and after an extended battle with dementia. She is survived and will be greatly missed by her four children, eight grandchildren, one step-grandchild and six great-grandchildren, as well as several full, half and step siblings. Betty's husband, Clarence, passed away in 1992.
