04/13/2012 - Kevin James Pittman

Memorial services for Kevin James Pittman, age 56, of Torrington, will be Friday, April 13, 2012 at 2:00 PM at the First Wyoming United Presbyterian Church with Pastor Charlie Granade officiating.
 
Memorials may be made to Goshen County School Libraries.
 
Kevin died April 10, 2012 at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff, Nebraska and cremation has taken place.
 
Kevin was born January 5, 1956 in Torrington, Wyoming the son of James and Lorraine (Woltzer) Pittman. He was the first of five children. He grew up and graduated high school in Lyman, Nebraska and then went on to graduate from WYO Tech in Laramie, Wyoming. Kevin worked for the Goshen County School District for many years and more recently as a conductor/engineer for Union Pacific Railroad.
 
Kevin loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, family and friends. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and found great passion in restoring vintage hot rods but often sold them quickly upon completion so he could start his next project.
 
He was preceded in death by his son Michael; sister Rebecca Gaskill; his father Jim Pittman; paternal grandparents Mike and Bobbie Pittman; maternal grandparents Neil and Elsie Woltzer; father-in-law Clayton Allen; and sister-in-law Robin Pittman.
 
Immediate Survivors:
 
Wife: Sandy of Torrington, WY.
 
Daughters: Jennifer (Jeff) Branson of Chadron, NE; Sarah Pittman of Torrington, WY.
 
Grandchildren: Ayden J. Branson, Braylon Branson, RaeLynn Pittman.
 
Brothers: Jack (Patty) Pittman, David (Tracie) Pittman.
 
Sister: Debra Weimer
 
Mother: Lorraine Pittman
 
Step-Mother: Betty Pittman
 
Brothers-in-law: Jim (Brenda) Allen and Roger Allen
 
Mother-in-law: Georgia Allen; Renee Smith
 
Many nieces and nephews.
 
The Colyer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
