02/17/2013 - Recital to Unveil 1918 Steinway Model D Concert Grand Piano
The Chadron State College Department of Music and the CSC Foundation will unveil a recently refurbished 1918 Steinway Model D Concert Grand Piano on Sunday, February 17th.
There will be a recital at 3:00 PM in the Memorial Hall auditorium by Associate Professor of Music Dr. James Margetts is open to the public and free of charge. The concert will feature piano solos from the years 1909-1911.
A reception following the concert will honor Dr. Jackson Hammitt, professor emeritus, and his wife, Peg, whose generous financial contribution made the refurbished Steinway possible.
